PRIMARY WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30 pm

*Depending on demand, in some instances, extended work hours may be needed

STARTING PAYRATE: $13-$20 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)

JOB SUMMARY: The Line Leader is responsible for leading the packaging line and ensuring that production is fulfilled in full, on time, safely, efficiently, and meeting customer quality specification requirements. This team member also verifies the material flow into the line and finishing goods coming off, making sure lots and other inventory parameters are correct. The Line Leader also ensures the equipment on his or her line is performing as required and engages their Machine Operator and the maintenance team accordingly to minimize production downtime.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In the event of absence, line leaders will be assigned as necessary to provide adequate production coverage.

• Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used, and other packaging requirements.
• Starts, adjusts, and repairs packaging machinery, or notifies maintenance department.
• Observes packaging operations and inspects products to verify conformance to food safety and quality requirements and customer specifications.
• Responsible for Damage Tracking and WIP / Finished Goods flow
• Ensure, Inspect, and oversee assistant line leader and machine operator’s Daily Tasks
• Help and continuously train assistant line leaders and machine operators

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED; and one to three years related experience.
