MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCES
$60k - $75k/DOE

Reporting directly to the Director of Organizational Development, the HR Manager must provide excellent customer service to the staff of CMG and will work collaboratively with CMG leadership to organize open enrollment activities, assist with recruiting and onboarding of staff and be the chief advisor to Management and the CEO on HR policy, best practices and actions. Working with the Administrative Services Manager, and/or Sr. Leadership, they will assist in the planning and organizing of company events, such as staff meetings and employee appreciation related activities. They will handle details of a highly confidential nature and must function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment. They will have a proven ability to independently complete multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, high-energy, organized, and possess excellent judgment. They will be required to be available during regular business hours and on occasion/as needed early morning and evenings if needed to facilitate recruitment functions.

DESIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of prior experience in a broad-spectrum Human Resources Role.

Preferred

  • Advanced Degree in Management, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM Certified Professional Certification

RESPONSIBLITIES / FUNCTIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Specific: Work Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate, educate, and support managers with recruitment of ‘A’ talent and support onboarding functions to ensure employees are properly prepared to meet work expectations.
  • Organize and oversee employee customer service training.
  • Assure administrative human resources functions such as updating employee records, processing FMLA paperwork and companywide communications are maintained accurately and timely.
  • Attend human resources recruitment events, such as job fairs, career fairs and other events.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including assisting with open enrollment and employee enrollments.
  • Serves as an advisor to the Executive Counsel and departmental management regarding personnel administration issues and the effective and efficient utilization of human resources.
  • Provides management-level personnel with an interpretation of federal and state labor laws as well as internal CMG policies.
  • Initiates, develops, and recommends personnel and managerial policies, procedures, and programs to administration.
  • Informs and orients employees of CMG's personnel policies, procedures and programs through such means as employee handbooks, sample plan descriptions, memos, various meetings, and the utilization of informational employee bulletin boards.
  • Advises administration, and supervisory staff, as to the proper interpretation of various personnel and managerial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Plans, CMG's compensation program in conjunction with the Director(s) of Operations, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Ensures the uniformity in the application of hiring criteria, selection procedures, advertisement practices, and transfer protocols.
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts employee and management training programs designed to orient personnel, improve work skills, develop staff capabilities, and improve CMG's operations.
  • Coordinates CMG's grievance program and acts as an advisor to all parties during the various levels of the process.
  • Furnishes recommendations on courses of action in handling employee problems and concerns to department heads, managers, and supervisors.
  • Investigates causes of disputes and employee disciplinary problems; recommends follow-up action to management, including written warnings, suspension, and discharge action in conjunction with established institutional policy.
  • Administers CMG's compliance with various governmental regulations affecting labor, i.e., Equal Employment Opportunity Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, age Discrimination Act, Equal Pay Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, National Labor Relations Act, and other significant articles of legislation.
  • Directs the maintenance of a comprehensive recordkeeping system for all employee information needs; devises forms relative to personnel activities; organizes departmental data to increase centralization of statistics while promoting rapid retrieval for internal and external reporting purposes; completes required Tribal, federal, state, and other health care regulatory reports.
  • Participates in organizational analysis, planning, and development.
  • Represents CMG at outside conferences, hearings, and seminars related to human resources activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
