Job Description: OB/GYN Registered Nurse Location: Tahlequah, Oklahoma Duration: 13 week renewable contract Experience: At least one year experience required

The OB/GYN Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the obstetrics and gynecology department. This includes managing labor and delivery, performing gynecological exams, administering medications and providing education to patients. The RN will also be responsible for collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma
  • At least one year of experience as an OB/GYN RN
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • BLS and NRP certification required

Responsibilities:

  • Manage labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates, administering medications and assisting with cesarean sections
  • Perform gynecological exams, including Pap smears and pelvic exams
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception, pregnancy and childbirth
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
  • Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving measures as needed.
