Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Catering Sales Manager for the Hotel Retlaw in Fond du Lac, WI.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Plan and coordinate meetings and social events for the Hotel Retlaw.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, upsell and detail the meeting/function with the client including: space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, payment details and etc. Prepare the appropriate paperwork, including banquet event orders, coordinate with the appropriate departments in the hotel, resolve any issues, complaints and problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.

Meet with clients in person or conduct onsite tours to finalize all meeting requirements.

Participate in tastings with clients.

Ability to generate creative and innovative menus while working closely with the Chef on pricing specialty menus.

Work closely with the banquet department on operations and event execution. If needed, ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.

Proved overall direction, coordination and ongoing evaluation of operations. Detailed execution of all banquet events orders generated by the Catering Department.

Ability to work with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction for all events/group.

Prepare and send requested collateral materials to designated clients. Common collateral materials might include catering menus, brochures, meeting room layout & seating capacity diagrams, area maps and brochures.

Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of catering, food and beverage, menu development and pricing.

Delphi experience is a plus!

Efficient in Microsoft Office – especially Word, Outlook and Excel.

Skills

Excellent hearing, vision and speech skills required for all interaction with clients and team members.

Excellent comprehension and literacy required to develop marketing plan, create menus and programs, etc.

Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

Education:

  • Hotel Experience in similar position: 1 year (Preferred)
