Adelphi is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide services at a facility in Conway, Arkansas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing dental hygiene services to clients while ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Requirements:
• Certified to practice dental hygiene by the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in providing dental hygiene services for individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Physically located in The State of Arkansas

Responsibilities:
• Perform oral cleanings on patients by removing all traces of calculus, deposits and accretions, and stains from teeth with hand mechanized instruments on clients.
• Conduct instrumental examination and charts conditions of teeth and surrounding tissues for carious lesions, periodontal pockets, and other abnormal conditions.
• Perform screening on patients using X–ray technology.
• Administer prescribed medicament to the gingival and applies prescribed desensitizing agents.
• Instruct patients on oral physical therapy and toothbrush techniques and oral hygiene.
• Maintain records in computer database by entering basic dental history and information and extent of services rendered for each patient.
• Clean, sharpen, and sterilize instruments.
• Daily maintenance of hand pieces and other dental equipment.
• Assist with seating and preparing patients for dental procedures.
• Practice tool control of instruments and needles
• Comply with all best practice standards for services to people with intellectual disabilities.
• Any other duties as assigned.
