As a Retail Branch Officer, incumbents will support CorTrust's mission and business objectives providing administrative and operational support for the Bank market and the Branch or Area Manager. They will supervise, train, and coach Customer Service Representative teams. They will handle escalated issue resolution with customers and will oversee all CSR and teller functions.

Daily duties for this position:

  • Train Customer Service Representatives to ensure compliance with Bank policies, security procedures, and training requirements.
  • Use extensive procedural knowledge to understand, approve, and override transactions while mitigating risk to the Bank and our customers.
  • Meet regularly with CSR staff to facilitate coaching and training, complete core competency appraisals, and communicate changes in policy and procedure.
  • Coach CSR staff on cross-selling products and services to encourage referrals to our business partners and deepen customer relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of State and Federal banking regulations (BSA, CIP, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg D) and how they apply to bank policies and procedures.
  • Perform balancing functions and maintain records for cash drawers, ATMs, and vaults, including accurate documentation and reporting of discrepancies.
  • Complete branch reporting functions and manage and update records to meet retention requirements.
  • Act as a point of knowledge to support operational and staffing functions at all branches within the market as needed.
  • Possess a sound understanding of IRAs to process new accounts, contributions, distributions, and facilitate Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
