Neighborhood Health –Registered Nurse

Non-Exempt, 40 Hours

DeKalb County

Our goal is simple: improving access to healthcare in our community and surrounding areas. Neighborhood Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse to our team. Together, we are all committed to building healthier communities by delivering comprehensive, quality health care with compassion and respect.

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

  • Screen, assess, and evaluate a participant’s nutritional status.
  • Evaluate participant’s nutritional status through dietary assessment and make recommendations in relation to nutritional needs.
  • Refer participants to community programs for specialized nutrition services / food assistance.
  • Determine eligibility of participants for WIC program based on nutritional status.
  • Promote breastfeeding to prenatals. Work with postpartum participants who are experience difficulties with breastfeeding. Make referrals to lactation consultant as needed.

Requirements:

  • One-year experience in Maternal and Child Health or Clinic setting, with teaching responsibilities preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.

The schedule is Monday: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Tuesday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Wednesday: 10:00am – 7:00pm, Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.
