 Responsibilities - Technician:


  • Perform multi-point inspection and diagnose malfunction(s)
  • Efficiently repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc., in accordance with dealership standards
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses/required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
  • Provide an estimate of the time needed for repairs
  • Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs
  • Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions
  • Adhere to company regulations and keep abreast of recalls and updates.
  • Report any damaged or defective equipment to management.
  • Report safety issues to management and ensure a clean working area.

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements – Technician:

 

  • Previous automotive preventative maintenance experience
  • Previous formal automotive training
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a technician
  • ASE Certification a plus
  • Must have a strong work ethic; independently motivated to produce results with limited influence from others
  • Must be a hard worker, someone who works diligently to get tasks done and demonstrates personal characteristics, such as responsibility, dependability, conscientiousness, communication, and teamwork
  • The ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions is important
  • Display a commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing automotive industry
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and guidelines
  • Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have tools 
  • Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
