Forklift Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Express Employment Professionals in Everett is hiring Forklift Operators for first and second shift for a company in Marysville, WA. These are fulltime, evaluation hire positions with a lot of opportunity for overtime!

Shifts Available:

First Shift: $19 per hour

Second Shift: $20 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift or other heavy equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise around the facility.
• Conduct safety checks of the forklift to ensure it is safe for operation.
• Check fluid levels (oil, water, and fuel) before operating the lift.
• Ensure availability of empty pallets for packaging lines and maintain pallet inventory.
• Remove palletized bags from production lines and place them on the stretch-wrapper.
• Operate the stretch-wrapper and change stretch film as required.
• Store palletized bags in inventory, ensuring proper placement without damaging other inventory.
• Maintain plant cleanliness by restacking, picking up trash and debris, and washing equipment.
• Communicate any changes to Bills of Lading to Dispatcher or office personnel.
• Conduct physical inventory counts of finished goods as required.
• Ensure safe operation of the forklift and maintain fluid levels.

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb on and off required equipment.
• Ability to sit for long periods.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to read and write English and/or follow instructions.
• Willingness to work in a dusty environment and in hot/cold/rainy weather.
• Availability for mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
