Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Physical Therapists for part-time positions within school districts in the Warsaw, Virginia area. Candidates must meet all local and state requirements outlined below and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional physical therapy services to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, strength, range of motion, and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' educational goals.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions.
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and progress, including progress reports and therapy notes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on students' therapy needs and recommendations.
  • Stay informed of best practices in physical therapy and participate in professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
  • Valid Virginia Physical Therapy License.
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Physical Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
  • Knowledge of local and state regulations governing physical therapy services in educational settings.
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents with diverse abilities and needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt therapy interventions to meet the individual needs of students.
