Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Occupational Therapists for full-time positions within school districts in the Haysville, Kansas area during the 2024-2025 School Year. We are looking for dedicated professionals who meet all local and state requirements for the position. Please find detailed requirements listed below.
Requirements:
- Valid Kansas Occupational Therapist license.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in educational settings.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to special education and occupational therapy services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' identified needs and goals.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation in educational activities and routines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, progress reports, and therapy interventions.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on students' occupational therapy needs and goals.
