Our Morristown, NJ client is searching for a Payroll Clerk on a permanent basis. This position operates on a hybrid schedule. This is a great opportunity to join a company where there is a ton of room for growth.

Job Overview:

  • Processing payroll biweekly

  • Processing payroll journal entries

  • Reconciling payroll

  • Processing monthly Amex payments and allocating expenses & posting to the GL

  • Entering expenses into the AP system

  • Assisting the Accounting Manager with budgeting and forecasting

  • Conducting onboarding administration for new employees

  • Processing benefit enrollments and auditing invoices on a monthly basis

  • Processing 401k enrollments on a biweekly basis

  • Processing HSA distributions on a biweekly basis

  • Setting up and monitoring state employment tax accounts and communicating with payroll vendor as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in accounting and payroll

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s)

  • 6 months+ of payroll experience

  • Detail oriented

  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Analytical skills

Pay Range: $45k-$50k DOE
