School Speech Language Pathologist Position Now Open

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Speech Language Pathologists for full-time positions within school districts in the Natchitoches, Louisiana area. Candidates must meet all local and state requirements outlined below and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional speech and language therapy services to students.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, including articulation, language comprehension, and fluency.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and students' educational goals.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, addressing communication disorders and delays.
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans.
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and progress, including progress reports and therapy notes.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on students' therapy needs and recommendations.
• Stay informed of best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Louisiana state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations governing speech and language therapy services in educational settings.
• Previous experience working with children and adolescents with diverse speech and language needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt therapy interventions to meet the individual needs of students.
