YRCI is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer who will lead YRCI data strategy with a focus on enterprise data governance and automation. This pivotal role involves designing robust database infrastructure and implementing Microsoft PowerBI visualizations and reporting. Must have a deep understanding of enterprise data warehouse design and management, proficiency in the Office 365 Power Platform, including Power Automate, and a keen ability to identify and implement opportunities for automating data insights. Role within the Organization As a Data Engineer specializing in data governance and automation, you will be a key member of the YRCI Digital Solutions team. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will work closely with data analysts, business intelligence specialists, software developers, and other IT professionals. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our data infrastructure not only meets the current needs of the business but is also optimized for future growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the organization's data strategy with a focus on enterprise data governance. Design and maintain a scalable, reliable database infrastructure. Implement and manage Microsoft PowerBI visualizations and reporting tools, ensuring seamless data analysis and interpretation. Drive the implementation of enterprise data governance practices, ensuring data accuracy, availability, and privacy. Identify and implement automation opportunities in data insights using Power Automate and other relevant tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions seamlessly across the organization. Design, implement, and manage enterprise data warehouses, optimizing for efficiency and compliance. Stay updated with trends in data engineering, governance, and visualization technologies. Job Requirements Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in data engineering, with specific experience in database design, data warehousing, and data governance. Proven experience using Power Query to implement PowerBI solutions Familiarity with Power Automate and the Office 365 Power Platform. Expertise in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java. Experience with large datasets and complex data models, and knowledge of cloud services and architecture (e.g., Azure, AWS). Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Enterprise Business Intelligence tools Preferred Skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
