Sr Design Associate

Executes interior design services for commercial real estate properties and produces/distributes required working drawings by performing the following duties personally: Responsibilities Prepare test fits/space plans and pricing notes for prospective tenants as required Prepare building stacking plans Assist TI Project Managers in preparing tenant improvement budgets Assist construction and property management teams with finish selections on select capital projects Prepare marketing plans for vacant spaces Prepare smaller space surveys for existing vacancies and note exiting conditions Prepare Construction Documents for Interior tenant improvement projects in Revit Maintain up to date product library and pricing for finish materials Assist with the design and selection of finishes for select base building renovations Maintain electronic library of all Design Documentation, Revit, AutoCAD files, Sketch-up, etc. Rev Assist with the maintenance of the operations and maintenance documents & project plans Assist with the Coordination of all design related tasks of tenant improvement projects in the Austin, Texas market. Assist with the Coordination of all Landlord work elements for all tenant managed projects Intermediate to Advance proficiency in the following Software: Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up and EnScape Novice to Intermediate proficiency in the following Software: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator Must be able to demonstrates the ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have supervisory responsibilities at this time. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Architecture (BArch or BSArch) or in Interiors from four-year college or university and/or equivalent master’s degree in architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design. Applicants with 4-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience with using architectural computer software as noted: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Proficiency in Sketch-up, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and BlueBeam is preferred. Experience executing workplace space plans in CAD and Revit is preferred. Proficiency in developing a finish palette and coordinating with a finish, furniture and equipment vendor is preferred. Competencies LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret project plans or working drawings. Ability to respond to common inquiries via email and/or phone messages. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS A current valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance required.
