A mid sized medical device client of ours is seeking a Senior or Principal Product Development Engineer to join their team on a contract to direct basis. 
Job Title:  Principal Product Development Engineer
Location:  Maple Grove, MN
Pay Rate: 40-60hr

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Leads development of concepts, prototypes, processes, and products from initial design to market release. 
  • Assists in writing proposals for existing clients to achieve new deliverables within an existing phase or as a part of ongoing efforts.
  • Designs and implements new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products to bring concept to market, including essential product and process documentation.  
  • Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
  • Prepare project plans for complex projects that specify project phases, tasks, task interdependencies, durations, resource assignments, and costs.


Requirements
 
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Looking for candidates who hands on process development experience
  • 5+ years of catheter development experience is required
  • Need strong DV&V understanding as well as NPI/MFG transfer experience
  • Need very strong statistical analysis experience to design and run the assessments, but also inform and execute design decisions on this.
