Compensation

Pay range for new hires: $28.35 to $45.36

Night and weekend shift differentials up to $6 per hour!

Job Overview:

The Rad Tech and Clinic Coordinator performs radiologic X-Ray examinations of patients, and also coordinates patient services and supports the daily operations of Aspen Valley Hospital outpatient clinics.

 

  • Prepares the X-Ray suite and patient for the procedure.
  • Explains procedures to patients, patient representatives, or family members.
  • Transfers patients to the X-ray suite via ambulation, wheelchair, or stretcher.
  • Positions patient as needed to obtain optimal images and prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
  • Continuously monitors patient and responds appropriately to changing condition.
  • Inspects images for quality and takes appropriate action to resolve issues. Sends completed exams to Radiologist for interpretation. Monitors exam status to ensure results are received.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of procedures and implements correct charging procedures.
  • Coordinates the patient visit in a knowledgeable and courteous manner.
  • Communicates information among the healthcare team, patients, and family.
  • Registers patients upon arrival ensuring all information in the electronic medical record is current and complete.
  • Enters charges, verifies patients' insurance coverage, and receives payments from patients.
  • Handles money competently and securely, accurately post payments received.
  • Schedules patient appointments, tests, and procedures, and obtains referrals and authorizations.
  • Completes discharge process at the end of each visit and schedules follow up appointments.
  • Monitors incoming and outgoing communications and routes correspondence to the correct staff member/group for task completion.
  • Provides clerical support for the clinic including monitoring office supplies and ordering inventory.
  • Maintains flexibility for reassignment to a variety of Outpatient Clinics.
  • May travel between worksites throughout the work day.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Ensures developmentally and medically appropriate care for all patient populations and age groups.
  • Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and established procedures to ensure a safe, compliant, and ethical work environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • ARRT Registered or ARRT eligible
  • BLS certification. May be obtained upon hire.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and registration in additional modalities preferred.
  • Experience with Epic preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
