Fleet Mechanic

Long-term career opportunity with a beloved and trusted name. We are actively looking for mechanics experienced with medium trucks (walk-in trucks), and gasoline powered vans. You will be relied upon to execute measured Fleet Maintenance & Repair. This is a comfortable one technician shop that supports an established National network. Perfect opportunity for experienced Diesel Technicians & Auto Mechanics looking for that next step to working supervisor/foreman.

The Gig:

• Repair and maintain diesel and gasoline commercial trucks
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections
• Install new ignition systems, align front wheels, replace transmissions, etc.
• Maintain parts inventory and complete work orders
• Coordinate with Fleet Manager on truck issues and budgets
• Review and note deficiencies with Route Sales People

Compensation:

• $25.00 - $32.00/hour to start.
• Benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, hearing, vision, 401K, company profit sharing, and paid time off.

Shift:

• Days, 9:00am - 6:00pm (Monday to Friday).

Qualifications:

• Three to five years of bumper to bumper repair on diesel trucks - engine, suspension, electrical, and transmission systems.
• Prior experience working in an independent capacity is highly desired.
• Valid drivers license with driving record in good standing.
• Ability to pass background check.
