HR Administrative Assistant
Provide administrative support to the HR department through operating various systems and software. Will be working closely with other support departments and will need to multi-task efficiently. Responsible for processing terminations, leave requests, Kronos coding and other general administrative tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain personnel records
- Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)
- Prepare HR documents, like disciplines, new employee information
- Revise company policies and/or documents
- Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
- Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates)
- Answer employees queries about HR-related issues
- Assist payroll, benefits, compensation, and other internal HR departments by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
- Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event) Requirements and skills
Education/Experience:
- Education - BS Degree is a plus but not required ( with focus on HR ). HS diploma required
- 1-2 years Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role
- Experience with HR software, like ORACLE and ADP
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
- Thorough knowledge of labor laws
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
- Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
