Banquet Server

Job Description

Customer Driven Staffing (CDS) is a privately owned staffing firm with 14 locations in 5 states. CDS has offices located throughout South Florida. We are currently seeking part time banquet servers and staff.

MUST HAVE PRIOR BANQUET SERVING OR HIGH-END DINING EXPERIENCE.

We are also looking for banquet setup, bartenders, cooks, food runners, bussers, etc.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet.
• Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests Keep glasses filled.
• Remove each round of plates and replenish utensils
• Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
• Prepare coffee breaks, carts and stations with appropriate supplies
• Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service
• Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen
• Ensure courses are properly cleared and crumbed in a timely fashion
• Manage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guests
• Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitation of tables, stations and service areas

Requirements:

• Prior event experience in a hotel, restaurant or similar environment is required.
• Prior banquet service is highly preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must meet post job offer drug test and background check requirements.
• Ability to speak and hear Close and distance vision Frequently walking with some standing at times, possibly extended distances; ability to bend and climb stairs, when necessary, frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to reach with hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
• Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented Positive outlook and outgoing personality Previous banquet serving experience is a big plus Previous waitress, waiter or banquet server experience requires Excellent oral communication and listening skills Ability to follow directions Excellent customer service skills Physical demands and abilities
