Job Description
As a Spring Break Camp Manager, you are responsible for all aspects of Pedalheads program delivery and day-to-day operations of the site you are located at. You ensure that camps are fun-filled and running smoothly for kids, caregivers, instructors, and junior instructors.
Camp dates: April 8 - 12 at Ballard, Roosevelt, Seward Park, Bellevue and Kirkland camps; April 22-26 at Shoreline camp
Job Responsibilities
Camp Operations
Responsible for overseeing Pedalheads Bike programs and the overall supervision of children during camp times.
Ensuring the set up and take down of camp equipment is done properly.
Signing in children/caregivers and making class switches when needed.
Liaising with staff and management at the facilities where the camp is located.
Organizing indoor games/activities related to sport when in inclement weather conditions (many activities can be done indoors, where there is space).
Communicating with the Regional Manager and/or the Site Support team.
Staffing
Curriculum delivery - ensuring instructors are following lesson plans/activities as per manuals training.
Taking initiative to teach new games to staff, modifying programming if a new initiative is not working, and reporting back to programs/training team.
Mentoring and motivating your team, conducting daily huddle and making the camp a fun and safe environment to work.
Dealing with employee relations issues and consults with Regional Manager/Site Support team or HR for further guidance.
Assigning volunteers to classes and signing off on their weekly hours tracking sheet.
Customer Relations
Proactively engaging with parents and children on site.
Dealing with any complaints in a timely manner and updating the Regional Manager about incidents.
Works with customer care through the season to advise of any customer events, changes, issues, registrations, etc.
Administration and Payroll
Prints weekly Pedalheads Bike class lists.
Ensures class lists are thoroughly reviewed, looking for errors or any possible issues.
Ensures all staff work hours are recorded.
Teaching & Training
During weeks with lower registration may teach at the Pedalheads Bike program – as per staffing guideline
Learn how to train new Bike Instructors and deliver training on pre-scheduled training dates:
Attend Train-the-Trainer June 1st (full day).
Train instructors at a minimum of one New Bike Training, on a Saturday or Sunday between June 8th and July 6th (full day).
Training schedule will be provided by Programs and Training in advance of training dates.

Qualifications
We are looking for people with experience managing, coaching, or supervising youths ages 13 through 24, preferably in a camp or sport environment.
Ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic.
They will be dynamic leaders who bring out the best in their teams through mentorship, motivation, and hands-on leadership.
Hold or willing to get a current first aid certificate.
You have access to a bike and helmet and are able to ride a bike proficiently.
