Job Description
Position Title: Student Intern (Agronomy)
Reports to: Director of Agronomy
Supervises: Not applicable
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Summary
As one of the premier clubs in the Southeast with two 18 hole golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr and Thomas Bendelow, the internship with Greenville Country Club will give you the experience to collaborate closely with a seasoned mentor who will guide you through practical, hands-on projects and daily responsibilities with the field of agronomy.
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Leading a crew and providing training as needed to crew members
- Executing proper mowing techniques
- Perform all agronomy and seed operations
- Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of agronomy equipment
- Assist in irrigation or drainage repair
- Executes proper tournament prep and set-up
- Other duties, as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- Must be enrolled in a 4-year Agronomy, Agriculture or equivalent program
- Previous club experience a plus
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize projects
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed
Physical Requirements
- General outdoor environment with exposure to various degrees of weather
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs or more

Other Benefits
In addition to field experience, interns will be provided housing, paid an hourly rate and can expect to work 40+ hours each week. Pro ship discounts, uniforms and a meal allowance is also provided. Interns must have their own transportation. Selected interns will be given the opportunity to attend regularly scheduled CMAA meetings while employed.
