Description

POSITION: Painter

DIRECT REPORT: Director of Property Management

SUMMARY

The Painter is primarily responsible for assisting with various painting projects across our properties.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)

  1. Assist in prepping and painting of interior and exterior surfaces at our multifamily properties.
  1. Collaborate with painting and property management team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  2. Always maintain a clean and organized work area.
  3. Follows practices for the safe operation of all facility equipment, including compliance with health, safety and OSHA programs, policies, procedures, reports.
  4. Aids with the inspection of common areas and resident apartments to ensure appropriate painting standards are achieved and sustained.
  5. Follows health department, city, state, and federal procedures, practices and recordkeeping requirements.
  6. Works with vendors and specialists
  7. Keeps storage areas, tools, and equipment secure at all times.
  8. Partakes in additional training as required.
  9. Any other duty and or task deemed fit by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of relevant painting experience, preferably in residential property management or hospitality, retail, commercial property management or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of safety standards
  • Communication skills to relay issues to property managers
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and energy
  • Ability to work independently

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES

  • Capable of lifting, bending, stooping, pushing & pulling heavy loads
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion for an extensive amount of time
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (full shift 8-12 hour)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Needs a reliable form of transportation
  • Valid Driver's license

Rare or regular local travel may be required to assist properties as needed, attend training classes or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
