Hours: Night Shift 8pm-6am 4 - 10 Hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday (Off Wednesday)
General Description: The position of Production Team Member is required to foster an environment of trust and open communication while developing your talent for your future and the future of the organization. This position must practice and mentor the safety of all employees while producing a quality product. In this position you must interact well with all other departments of the cooperative.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Read, record, and communicate the PH control of the cheese
Able to set-up, work and change the cheese tables
Attention to detail a must
Leveling cheese in forms, Flip and removing cheese from the forms
Know and follow proper operations for the brine room
Hand scooping as well as pumping cheese into forms
Assist in startup of make room for cheese production
Cleaning and sanitization are ongoing throughout entire shift
Additional sanitation duties required when other job tasks are complete
Proper operation of the whey pumps
When needed must be able to rework cheese
Properly record production data as needed
Maintain a sanitary workspace according to the Company’s Good Manufacturing Practices
Must know all operations and duties of the make room
Required (Basic) Education / Experience/ Competencies and Other Skills:
Able to read and follow directions.
Good Communication skills in both verbal and written.
Computer knowledge is a plus, but we will train as needed.
High school diploma, equivalent or eagerness to learn and work in the dairy industry.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repetitively.
Stand for a minimum of 12 or more hours per shift.
Squatting, Kneeling, Bending and use of stairs.
Pass a drug & alcohol screen as well as a general background check.
Work Environment / Environment Condition:
Food plant environment. Must adhere to all food and plant safety policies and regulations.
Must be able to work in varying temperatures.
