Salary: $25-$32/hour

Summary/Objective

Provides manufacturing support for all aspects of Puck products to ensure manufacturability, functionality, and quality by performing the following duties.  This position ensures that engineered products and components are ready and defined for production and that these products are produced with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. 


Essential Functions

  1. Prepare bills of operations within the Epicor system to define the specific methods of manufacturing to produce parts or assemblies as assigned by manufacturing engineers or manufacturing engineering lead.
  2. Facilitate First Article process of parts and assemblies through production to ensure documents and finished product match and include the correct operations and standard times. At times, it is necessary to work alongside department supervisors in conducting work to produce the design output.
  3. Provide firsthand, on floor support to manufacturing departments by documenting production standard times for operations prior to first article release and adjusting engineering documentation to match production outputs for future manufacturing requirements.
  4. Possess a detailed knowledge of all department operations, material consumptions and movements, and manufacturing methods to craft precise and accurate methods of manufacturing
  5. Ensures product quality by developing testing and assurance methods and defining them with operations on the ERP bill of operations
  6. Update CAD models and documentation as assigned
  7. Feedback production knowledge to the development and product design teams by participating in design reviews
  1. Update and assist production with product specific change requests through PDM change requests for evaluation of future work or releases.
  2. Provide support to manufacturing by assisting in the development, validation, release, and maintenance of machine programs for parts or assemblies. 
  3. Maintain accuracy and precision of systems of record for Engineering (PDM) and the rest of Puck Enterprises (Epicor)
  4. Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all departments and personnel.
  5. Maintain a quality of product, and quality of work mindset
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

 

Physical Demands

 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Work can vary from an office setting to active manufacturing spaces.  Some outdoor work is required in the inspection of various equipment outside or on location at farm sites.  Eye-hand coordination is necessary to operate drafting instruments, computers and various pieces of office equipment.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and smell.

 

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

 

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may occasionally require long hours and weekend work.

 

Travel

 

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

 

Required Education and Experience

 

1.Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of four years previous engineering experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
