Job Summary

As a Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our customers' vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, repair, and maintain various automotive systems and components.

Specific Job-Related Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic tests and inspections to identify vehicle issues and provide accurate repair recommendations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
  • Repair and replace malfunctioning components, such as brakes, transmissions, engines, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment and software to identify complex vehicle problems.
  • Interpret and follow technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications for repairs and adjustments.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and estimated costs.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance services are performed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Keep accurate records of completed repairs, parts used, and labor time for billing and warranty purposes.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and industry trends through continuous training and professional development.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and computerized systems for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with clients effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Education And Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical program in automotive repair is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an automotive service technician or similar role.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications.
  • Prior experience with [specific brands or models] is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hybrid or electric vehicle systems is advantageous.
