Service Technician

Bliss is a leading manufacturer of processing equipment for numerous industries. Bliss’ primary products are hammermills, pellet mills and pellet coolers.

Job Purpose:
The service technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Adhere to and promote company safety standards.
2. Ensure customer satisfaction with Bliss products.
3. Carry out scheduled service visits.
4. Provide over-the-phone troubleshooting service.
5. Complete timely & thorough service reports, timecards, & expense reports.
6. Contribute to the production engineering process.
7. Communicating with vendors, internal contacts and customers.
8. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
9. Ability to travel, work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules if needed.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or GED equivalent, technical degree preferred.
2. U.S. citizen or valid/current work visa
3. Aptitude for mechanical, electrical, controls equipment.
4. Technical background in maintenance setting preferred.
5. Effective interpersonal skills and service oriented.
6. Positive and upbeat demeanor, professional speaking voice, and customer service attitude.
7. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
