JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Material Handler - Inventory is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all inventories. Handles all paperwork and follows all procedures to meet this goal. Verifies all orders received and shipped and ensures that the orders are properly accounted for in the company's records. Accounts for all defective or damaged products and follows with appropriate corrective action. Manages and reconciles all cycle counts. The Material Handler – Inventory will have basic understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), safety and inventory procedures.

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

  • Follow all Inventory and Safety Procedures

  • Loads and unloads trailers, scans merchandise, builds pallets and labels merchandise

  • Picks, packs and sorts products

  • Re-bags/Re-tickets, replenishes and/or stocks merchandise as needed

  • Verifies accuracy of production or location; may set or assign locations of products

  • Performs manual, computer or RF functions to enter data in systems

  • Performs count of product / reconciliations (count cycle)

  • Reviewing orders for fulfillment

  • Support of warehouse personnel with inventory issues and physical management of inventory

  • Participate in physical inventory counts

  • Inventory troubleshooting and research to complete customer order(s)

  • Analysis of inventory stock levels

  • Monitoring aging/usage levels of product

  • Review with Accounts Payable issues between invoices/purchase orders

  • Damage Claims

  • Updating computerized inventory records with use of cubiscan machine

  • Communicating and assisting staff with inventory concerns

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Generally requires a minimum of one (1) year of Inventory Control experience

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors preferred in related.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Requires knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices

  • Skills in mathematics, personal computers (Excel) and spreadsheets are vital

  • Interpersonal and communication skills are important

  • Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management systems required

  • Accuracy and thoroughness required with great attention to detail

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No

JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY: Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.

The team member is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise in the work environment is usually moderate. Other factors are:

  • Hectic, fast-paced with multi-level distractions

  • Professional, yet casual work environment

  • Warehouse environment

  • Ability to work extended hours as required

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc. iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
