Position: Billing Specialist

Department: Patient Accounting

Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a full time Billing Specialist in our Patient Accounting department. We are looking for those who have a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are constantly striving to provide the highest quality of services for our patient.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary purpose is the tech is responsible for timely and accurate billing of all patient/customer accounts. Ensure accurate and complete information appears on UB 04 and 1500 claims and on the electronic billing system. Research and resolve open accounts thoroughly and accurately. Submit appeal letters to insurance companies, follow-up on unpaid or incorrectly paid claims, patient phone calls, and correspondence. Preparer accurate account payments and adjustments when indicated on the patient/customer account file. Safeguard the public relations of the hospital by consistent professional conduct and respect for patient. Customer confidentiality. Understanding of the Rev Codes, CPT Codes, HCPC Codes and ICD-10 Codes.
