About the Role:

In partnership with the Co-CEOs the Practice Administrator is responsible for the overall performance of Comprehensive Primary Care including strategic development, patient experience, clinical operations, and financial performance. This role is responsible for the efficient operations of the practice locations and manages centralized services including revenue cycle, payer enrollment, patient access, managed care, legal, and real estate. The Practice Administrator collaborates with finance, human resources, and IT leadership to ensure achievement of practice goals and the execution of its strategy.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the overall operational, quality and financial outcomes of the practice. Sets annual strategic and operational plans including capital and operating budgets.
  • Oversees revenue cycle, provider enrollment and compensation administration functions.
  • Ensure practices are following all applicable county, state, and federal regulations, aligning practice policies and procedures accordingly. Facilitates ongoing training and feedback for clinical and non-clinical staff related to evolving regulations.
  • Partner with IT to ensure the effective operation of the EMR, and other software and hardware used in the practice.
  • Lead overall contracting on behalf of the organization, including negotiating managed care contracts, malpractice/liability insurance, and provider employment agreements.
  • Create a positive and inclusive patient experience, including measuring and incorporating patient feedback.
  • Support and collaborate with providers, and clinical leaders in the practice in continuously improving practice operations.
  • Responsible for real estate planning, including lease management, growth planning, and facility operations.
  • Mentor and manage front line leads in the daily operation of practices. Is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • The Practice Administrator should possess familiarity of medical group trends, including technology and value-based care and identifying / implementing new strategies to support CPC in their transition to value-based care.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or related field required
  • Master’s degree in business, healthcare management, or related field preferred
  • 10+ Years of Experience in Medical Groups or similar healthcare roles preferred
  • 5+ Years of Practice Manager or multi-practice leadership experience required
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team spirit with a positive attitude.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.

 

Work Location: Rockville, MD/In person


Medical Clearance:
