Overview: *All positions are located in Fresno/Clovis CA*

We are looking for an RN Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our growing team! In your role, you will update policy, develop education programs and work very closely with your Clinical Nurse Educator. Communication will be key in this role as you liaison between interdisciplinary practice and nursing practice. You will have the opportunity to research current practices and new practices all while ensuring practices are uniform throughout the system.

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments in diverse care settings including psychosocial, functional, physical, and environmental factors.
  • Create evidence-based, cost-effective interventions, to meet the multifaceted needs of complex patients.
  • Design and employ educational strategies to patients, families and caregivers that consider readiness to learn, complex learning needs, individual preferences, atypical responses, and other social determinants of health.
  • Provide expert patient/caregiver-centered consultation based on a broad range of theories and evidence for patients with complex healthcare needs. Is also able to use advanced communication skills to navigate difficult conversations. As appropriate, facilitates patient and family understanding of the risks, benefits, and outcomes of proposed health care regimens to promote informed, shared decision-making.
  • Evaluate impact of nursing interventions on patients' aggregate outcomes using a scientific approach.
Qualifications: Education
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required
  • Graduate of a CNS program accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) required
  • Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience
  • 2 years of clinical or education experience in area of specialty required

Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
  • CNS - Clinical Nurse Specialist required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role preferred
  • Additional certifications may be required by certain specialties/departments
