Job Description:

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Mission Partnerships, the Senior Director, CIA Mission Partnership will serve as the principal point of contact and account manager for IQT’s CIA account. This candidate will translate our partners’ highest priority use cases and apply venture-backed startup technology to impact operations and analysis across the CIA. Working across an extremely diverse mission set and diving deep into partner challenges, the candidate serves as the primary liaison between the government partner and the emerging technology ecosystem. Working across a broad, cross-functional team, including IQT staff as well as government representatives, in a fast-paced, collegial, and collaborative environment for the sole purpose of impacting mission.



Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal point of contact with the CIA Interface Center, successfully managing the partnership, identifying strategic objectives to which IQT can contribute, and driving IQT resources to find/implement technologies that support their mission
  • Lead all IQT engagements with CIA, designing and implementing an engagement plan that maps IQT Capabilities and Investment team members to key CIA
  • Lead CIA in problem set collection and presentation to IQT, and IQT in our response to CIA.
  • Develop and execute a strategy to align IQT’s Capabilities, Insights and other added value programs with existing CIA partner problems and priorities.
  • Design and implement a senior executive engagement plan for CIA.
  • Prioritize and ensure alignment of CIA needs with investment opportunities and other IQT impact vectors. Lead the delivery of key IQT impact vectors to CIA, including Capabilities, Situational awareness, Insights, IQT Labs, and Advisory services
  • Manage CIA investment pipeline. Responsible for the execution of all assigned CIA Funding to maximize impact to mission.
  • Grow the base of CIA mission partners leveraging IQT’s impact vectors to broaden and deepen impact across Directorates and mission centers.
  • Facilitate active engagement on technical areas of interest for CIA throughout the IQT fiscal year. Plan and execute technical exchanges where mission partners can provide IQT background on use cases and current/planned technology solutions.
  • Partner with IQT teammates to collect and document mission impact stories.
  • Direct the planning and coordination efforts with mission partners for IQT’s corporate events.
  • Identify best practices and then design and implement new processes and/or procedures to better support the CIA’s overall mission.
  • Develop and maintain a robust professional network of contacts within CIA as a resource for identifying the highest priority mission challenges.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience (or equivalent experience) working across U.S. Government Civilian Agencies and the Intelligence Community, with a minimum of 5 years directly supporting the CIA.
  • U.S. Government Civilian Agency and/or Intelligence Community experience in one of the following disciplines: (examples: Analysis, Counterterrorism, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Law Enforcement, Operations, U.S. Immigration, etc.)
  • Ability to hold/maintain an active TS/SCI (FS poly) security clearance.
  • Experience serving large, complex government organizations in one of the following managerial capacities – customer success, strategic development, account/program management or technical sales support.
  • Effective at establishing and maintaining ongoing interaction with government partner executives, management, and technologists, including demonstrated experience in developing and implementing an account-wide plan/program.
  • Ability to work with strong technologists and subject matter experts, including a proven track record of earning the confidence of such players.
  • Effective in orchestrating cross-functional company efforts addressing a government partner’s technology requirements, including working with company executives and business/investment managers responsible for sourcing companies with solutions.
  • Experience working with leading-edge technologies, including supporting a wide range of technologies at any given time.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, demonstrate an accurate understanding of a government partner’s technology requirements as well as the company’s ability to address those needs.
