Polish Machine Operator

 

Position Details:

• Compensation: $19+ per hour. Based on Experience 
• Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 3:15 pm-2:45 am; Thursday 3:15 pm-10:15 pm (Overtime as needed)

Key Qualifications:

• Consistent employment for one year within the last two years.
• High School Diploma/GED
• General computer and math skills.
• Background in machine operating, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform various duties, adapting quickly to changes to maintain production flow.
• Independent worker with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, emphasizing time management.
• Mechanical inclination and ability to read work orders, production tickets, and dimensional drawings.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure in imperial and metric units.
• Willingness to work as a self-motivated team member, adhering to safety protocols and cross-training as required.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the Polish machine to apply top or edge polishing to granite products based on production ticket requirements.
• Use a tape measure to verify slab length, width, flatness, and squareness.
• Load and unload granite products into the polish machine using an overhead crane.
• Align and square stone to the polish machine as needed.
• Ability to work independently, perform tasks with precision, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift operation experience is wanted but not required.
