Ongoing PRN- Pharmacist- Waldorf, MD

RPh on the Go is looking for an ongoing per diem Pharmacist to add to our team in Waldorf, Maryland. We are currently interviewing to start ASAP.

Hours:
PRN ongoing cover vacations, call outs etc.
Pharmacy Hours:
M-F 8am to 4pm

Responsibilities:

• The Staff Pharmacist shall perform duties assigned by the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC).
• Supervise all pharmacy technicians, students/interns, pharmacy support staff.
• Ensure strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures.
• Responsible for all activities related to dispensing medications.
• Fill prescriptions, verifying instructions from prescribing practitioners on the proper amounts of medication to dispense to patients.
• Conduct drug clinical screening to ensure that prescription(s) will not interact negatively with other drugs including non-prescription medications that a patient is taking or health conditions the patient is being treated for.
• Counsel patients on how and when to take a prescribed medicine and any potential side effects they may experience from taking the medicine.
• PioneerRX experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

• MD State Pharmacist license (current, active with no negative history)
• Licensed pharmacist requires graduating from a college or school of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), such as a Doctor of Pharmacy Program (Pharm.D.) program and passing the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam, or NAPLEX.
• Ensure strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures.
• Operate in a manner consistent with professional, ethical, and legal standards of proper pharmacy practice.
• Constant standing or walking about is required. Manual dexterity is required for sustained periods.
