Overview of the Plant Controller: Join a leading manufacturer and distributor, seeking an experienced Plant Controller. This role involves overseeing financial management, including accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Responsibilities of the Plant Controller:
Financial Operations:
- Direct all accounting operations.
- Analyze financial results, trends, and costs.
Budgeting and Analysis:
- Prepare annual budgets.
- Support ad hoc projects with insights.
Cost Accounting and Guidance:
- Understand cost accounting in manufacturing.
- Provide strategic guidance on capital expenditures.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Monitor accounting activities for compliance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Inventory Management:
- Reconcile inventory and manage annual audits.
Financial Leadership:
- Lead and develop the accounting team.
- Enhance processes through analysis.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage cash flow and net working capital.
- Support financial audits and tax preparation.
- Manage insurance relationships and ensure compliance.
Qualifications to be the Plant Controller:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience: 3-5 years in plant controller/financial management position
