Account / AR Specialist

This thriving organization is currently seeking an Account / AR Specialist to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success. Based in Spokane Valley, Washington, the Account / AR Specialist role entails responsibilities such as entering, posting, and reconciling batches, investigating and resolving customer A/R inquiries, generating aging reports, conducting billing and collection calls, managing the cash receipts journal, and ensuring the accuracy of sub-ledger to G/L reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate documentation and codes
• Execute standard procedures for performing fundamental accounting tasks, including general accounting duties
• Post and reconcile financial data across multiple ledgers to ensure bank account reconciliation
• Manage monthly closings and annual reports, including payment processing and compilation of segments in accordance with GAAP standards
• Provide information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department, and other stakeholders upon request
• Uphold and promote the company's mission, values, and culture
• Reach out to clients to resolve payment issues and facilitate the establishment of payment plans

Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE

Requirements:

- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

- Deep understanding of customer service

- Collections experience required

- Relevant experience in accounts receivable

- ERP system experience

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
