Purpose of Role

The Supervisor, Evaporative Media Removal and Installation is a professional responsible for maintaining customer relationships, meeting media replacement target dates and cost, and ensuring efficient media change out operations. They devise media replacement strategies, collaborate with customers to address concerns, and identify and recommend process improvements for media replacement. Strong communication, leadership, and prioritization skills are essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a competent level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Lead and direct front-line media replacement teams.

  • Organize and motivate team members in their day-to-day work.

  • Manage and understand collaborative requirements for media change out.

  • Ability to work weekend and nights as needed.

  • Hire and train incoming support team members.

  • Availability to be on call for site issues.

  • Handle incoming escalations.

  • Regularly meet with customers to understand internal policies affecting media replacement procedures.

  • Order and maintain equipment.

  • Set and enforce team policies and procedures.

  • Travel may be required within the United States, up to 10% of the time.

  • Adhere to the company's Quality Assurance System and Health and Safety policies.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Professional Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies

  • Education and Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a management position in cooling media industrial HVAC with greater than four (4) direct reports. Degree in management is an asset.

  • Geographic Location: Dulles, VA

  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; excellent communication skills written and verbal.

  • Ability to Reason: The ability to remain calm and focused under stress, providing employee support over the phone and in person. Tact, courtesy, initiative, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in multiple environments.

  • Computer Skills: Intermediate working knowledge of MS Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and SAP.

  • Other: Proficient at understanding Project Management concepts and principals.

  • Regularly subjected to long periods pf standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.

  • Regularly stand, bend, twist for the purpose of conducting media replacement.

  • Lift and carry loads, up to 50lbs, to facilitate media replacement.
