Estimator

Responsibilities:Estimate creation & setupCreates estimate folders. Keeps Accubid default job up to date with current labor rates, tax rates, etc. Reviews bid opportunities, bid plans and specifications, proposed schedule. Performs estimate takeoff. Requests material, equipment, and other miscellaneous pricing from various vendors, verifies quotes meet owner expectations. Reviews and finalizes estimate with management. Creates estimate scope of work. Submits estimate to customer. Performs estimate handoff to project management upon award. Assists Project Manager and owner with Value Engineering ideas and pricing. Responsible for maintaining organized document flow within assigned estimates. Assists Business Development and Project Management with customer / jobsite visits as necessary. Required Experience:3+ years of estimating commercial and / or industrial projects. Seeking prior estimating experience with bids ranging from $250K - $20M. Experience with Trimble Accubid electrical estimating software or other similar products. Prefer prior electrical estimating experience but not required. Principles and practices of estimating, including planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws related to the assigned project area. Safe working practices, codes, and regulations applicable to the assigned project area. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
