Job Description: Electrical Infrastructure Technician
 Shift: Field-CE-Tech; Day Shift A: 12-hour shifts (Sunday-Wednesday) & (Sunday-Tuesday).
Required: Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3-, 4-, or 5-day work weeks.
Location Onsite, Aldie, VA
Pay range: $40/hr. - $45/hr.

The Electrical Infrastructure Technician is responsible for supporting electrical infrastructures within a data center campus, encompassing various facilities ranging from single large capacity to multiple smaller ones. The role entails tasks from both CE Tech Level 1 and Level 2 roles, with a focus on maintaining critical electrical systems and ensuring uninterrupted power supply.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Complete all tasks outlined in the CE Tech Level 1 and Level 2 role descriptions.
  • Provide support for electrical infrastructures across the data center campus.
  • Familiarity with building management systems (EPMS) and Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown procedures.
  • Execute shutdown procedures for Power Distribution Units (PDUs) for power meter replacement.
  • Conduct Power Interruption Testing (PIT) and execute master controller shutdown or replacement when required.
  • Previous experience in data center operations is advantageous.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code.
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Qualified Electrical Worker certification is preferred.
  • Hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification.
  • Experience working with electrical systems in high availability environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work or applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data center operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and weekends.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
