Our client, in the Retail sector is seeking a Project Cutover Lead to join their team.  

Job Title: Project Cutover Lead

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $70-80/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Cutover Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cutover plan using Microsoft Project.
    • Identify predecessors, successors, and identify opportunities to reduce overall duration.
    • Coordinate and lead several mock cutovers.
    • Facilitate dry runs of tasks that cannot be completed until production but must be practiced and verified.
    • Communicate cutover status, issues, and escalations to project leadership.
  • Cutover Execution:
    • Release tasks to owners.
    • Facilitate cutover status calls.
    • Triage/escalate any issues that occur.
  • Analysis & Continuous Improvement
    • Document and analyze actual durations from mock cutover, to improve the production cutover plan.
    • Assess the impact of any delays, clearly articulating any downstream impacts.
    • Communicate results and lessons learned during Mock Cutover, using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Business Continuity
    • Clearly identify and communicate how the cutover plan will impact business processes.
    • As the cutover plan changes, be able to assess the impact to the business and their continuity plans (i.e. if a system be available later than planned).

 What’s Needed?

  • Proven experience in project cutover management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project
