Note: The client wants focus on a person with more experience with RTOS automation testing, rather than higher level iOS/Android types of testing.

Job Description:
Key responsibilities of the DRI role are:

  • Automation Test Development
  • Review product features and system architecture to recommend, implement and update automation test cases (written in Python).
  • Implement automated test issue reporting and report generation strategy for our automation test runs.
  • Develop new automation tests for better test coverage of the system.
  • Support and Maintain Current Automation Test Platform
  • Maintain the current pool of automation test agents used for CI, including system software updates.
  • Strategize and develop ways to keep the pool of automation test systems in sync
  • Debug and troubleshoot automation test infrastructure issues 
  • Triage and troubleshoot automation test issues.
  • Understand system architecture to troubleshoot and sort automation test system issues.
Other Requirements and Clarifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of embedded system software/firmware development and/or automation test software development for small embedded systems.
  • Expert in Python programming.
  • Expert in using Git.
  • B.S. degree (or equivalent) in an engineering field, preferably software engineering, embedded systems engineering or programming.
  • Self-motivated and responsible, have a sense or pride in making sure automation test system is running and in good health.
  • Excellent multitasking capabilities with ability to handle frequent context switches
  • Quick learner, good intuitions on debugging and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
  • Good understanding of classic Bluetooth audio systems
  • Comfortable with command line interface on Mac or Linux
