Job Summary:


We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic College Interns to join our manufacturing site team, this summer. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work in different functions such as Operations, Engineering, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, HR, EHS. You will gain valuable experience in presenting to Leadership when you present both a mid-assignment and final presentation to Leaders covering your assigned Project, including future applications & Lessons Learned.


Key Responsibilities:


- Work on assigned projects such as:

  • Workforce Retention
  • Inventory Management
  • Site Expansion Planning
  • Getting the Paperwork Right
  • Employee Suggestion System
  • Project Management Process

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects within the given timeline.

- Present project updates to the leadership team.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions.


Work Environment:


- Wear protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.

- Work in non-airconditioned areas of our manufacturing complex.

- May be exposed to distracting sounds or elevated noise levels.


This assignement will be an excellent opportunity for a college student to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and develop skills that will be valuable in their future career. Requirements:

Basic:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as engineering, business, or supply chain.
  • Alignment with company mission, vision, and values.
  • Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values. (WEG Code of Ethics, 4th Edition)
  • Passion for ZERO-TOLERANCE FOR ACCIDENTS. Being Safe 100% of time is the expectation!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Has current work authorization for employment in the United States.
  • Must complete: Job interview, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • If Safety Sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC.

Preferred:

  • Rising College / Unversity Senior;
  • Interest in Manufacturing of Transformers or Manufacturing Operations;


Compensation details: 20-22 Hourly Wage
