- TEMP TO PERM – 3 month initial contract
- Microsoft Hyper-V & Cloud Systems Engineer

- Qualifications:
- Five years plus (5+) Hyper-V virtualization (preferably in a multi-tenant environment)
- Five years plus (5+) Azure cloud infrastructure
- Ten years plus (10+) providing Microsoft systems engineering support
- Key Responsibilities:
- You will provide on-site and remote support services to our clients. You are expected to:
- MICROSOFT HYPER-V:
- Hyper-V Design, Deployment and Configuration: Design, develop, setup and configure Hyper-V hosts, virtual machines, and clusters (preferably in a multi-tenant environment)
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune virtualization performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource allocation
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain backup solutions, disaster recovery plans, and failover strategies
- Capacity Planning: Assess resource requirements, plan for growth, and scale the virtual environment as needed
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- MICROSOFT AZURE/MS365:
- · Azure Infrastructure Management: Administer and manage the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security
- · Solution Design and Deployment: Design, develop, and implement highly available solutions within Microsoft Azure
- · Continuous Improvement: Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and governance to identify and implement improvements
- · Data Protection and Security: Implement policy-driven data protection best practices to safeguard cloud and Hyper-V solutions
- · Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams/colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
- · Client/Project Communication: Communicate as necessary/required with internal team members and directly to client as needed.
- Additional experience required:
- Experience providing professional and extensive IT support with:
- Working knowledge, of all of the following, areas as it pertains to designing, configuring, implementing & troubleshooting:
- Hyper-V, clustering, multi-tenant configurations, SCVM, HGS
- SAN experience with EMC, Dell EqualLogic, HP and/or NetApp
- MS365 Cloud services including, but not limited to:
- Implementations/Migrations/Management/Recommendations (Email, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.)
- Cloud security (MDM/Intune/MFA, IDP, DLP, etc.)
- ADFS integrations with Azure
- Microsoft Windows 2012/2016/2019/2022 Server with a high-level understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD connections
- Superior problem-resolution skills
- Understanding and past experience working in an IT consulting environment supporting a wide range of clients, vertical markets (healthcare, finance, non-profit) with different levels of technology
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment support multiple customers at once
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including an ability to deal with people at various levels, from technician to executive
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Strong track record in leading a technical team and in building client relationships
- Ability to weigh options and provide the most efficient and cost-effective solution from a number of options
- Experience providing consulting to clients, with the right balance of initiative and following instructions
- References that demonstrate these characteristics
- Ability to understand and categorize technical problems
- Remote and on-site problem-resolution skills
- Strong ability to build client and peer relationships
Education/Training/Certifications:
MCITP – Systems Administrator/MCSA (2012/2016/2019/2022) REQUIRED!
MCITP – Enterprise Admin Windows/MCSE (2012/2016/2019/2022) DESIRED
Bachelor’s degree DESIRED
Master’s degree DESIRED
CompTIA A+ or Net+ DESIRED
LOCATION:
You will work primarily remote; however, there is a potential for days to be worked from our InfoStructures’ headquarters in Rockville, Maryland & site visits to client sites in the Washington, DC metro area (local travel is a must).
Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM with after-hours work for (projects & break/fix) required.
