Certified Thermographer

Join our growing Electrical Service Team! Compu Dynamics is one of the leading data center fit-out contractors in the world’s largest data center market. Our continued growth has led to an immediate opening for a Certified Thermographer. This position is located in Northern Virginia.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides thermographic services and nondestructive testing on all electrical infrastructure
   Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
2. Understands how to operate Infrared camera and basic computer input skills.
   Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify potential risks.
3. Understands basic electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits; ability to read basic wiring diagrams; understanding of Ohms Law; ability to use multi-meters to read voltage, current and resistance values; must be able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits. 
4. Troubleshoots electrical faults and identify the root cause of issues to make necessary repairs.
5. Conducts routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify potential risks.
6. Performs proactive preventive maintenance on equipment and systems; recommends proactive repair solutions.
7. Understands basic heating cycle to include: identifying components in heating system, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems in the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot; understands the theory of combustion and how it relates to combustible fuels such as gas and oil.
8. Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients, vendors and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship.
9. Provide timely and complete documentation of work performed.
10. Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment.

1. Required Education and Experience:

2. High School Diploma or GED
3. 3+ years’ experience in the trades
4. Level 1 Thermography Certification
5. Journeyman’s license or equivalent HVAC training and experience
6. CFC/EPA Universal
