Great Barbers and Stylists (FT and PT positions available)
IRONWORKS, Men’s Grooming and Supply Co. is RVA's Premiere Luxury men’s barbershop & hair salon. IRONWORKS, Men’s Grooming & Supply Co. is currently accepting applications for professionally licensed barbers & hair stylists. IRONWORKS is a full service men’s hair salon providing haircuts, straight razor shaves, coloring, massages, and even craft beer on draft for our clientele, and we are seeking motivated individuals to join our team to bring the highest service quality to men of the Greater Richmond area.
THE CANDIDATE MUST:
- Hold a current DPOR license or be able to obtain license within 18-months.
- Have technical & artistic proficiency
- Possess a positive attitude, work ethic, and ability to be a team player
- Be a great communicator
- Have a flexible schedule and be available weekends
- Understand and extend hospitality
- Help drive the business in retail sales, memberships, and gift certificate sales
- Be open for feedback and desire to grow as a technician and as a person, be open to improving techniques to cutting great hair.
- Understand your own metrics and the team metrics.
DUTIES
- Be a great barber or stylist
- Protect superior customer service standard for every customer
- Maintain esthetics of shop
- Adhere to all state regulations regarding sanitation and cleanliness
- Assist other shop members as needed for betterment of team
- Become knowledgeable of our retail product line & help drive retail sales
- Keep station clean and ready
- Perform services with time frames
- Be skilled with scissors and trimmers
- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills - We will Train!
- Be positive and good communicator
- Ability to cut hair
- Be able to give consistent haircuts and build a book of business
- Be eager to learn and be flexible.
- Hold a current certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia to conduct barbering or cosmetology
- Flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays
- Authorized to work in United States
- Ability to do hot razor shaves nice to have, but be willing to learn
- Coloring, Hair removal, Facial certifications nice to have
- Massage certifications nice to have.
