DSP Engineer

This position is for full-time employment that requires experience in signal processing and communications. The work involves algorithm development and C/C++ programming for embedded applications that include software-defined radio (SDR), communication links, sensor networks, and others. Examples include:

• Design, development, and testing signal processing algorithms in real-time systems
• Using Matlab to simulate the performance of algorithms
• Develop code that can be implemented on an embedded DSP/FPGAs
• Assist in integration & testing of prototype systems
• Coordinate software and hardware development activities with other engineers
• Work with a team of data scientists in research and develop advanced machine learning algorithms and techniques in application areas including radar, electronic warfare, sonar, SIGINT, RF geo-location, and image processing
• Create signal processing that supports machine learning models to process and understand signal data faster, more accurately and efficiently
• Apply principles, methods, and applications of communication theory such as signal processing, decision theory, estimation theory, and modulation-demodulation

DESIRED BACKGROUND

• 5+ years of development experience in implementing DSP modules in embedded real-time environments such as commercial DSPs, ARMs in C or C++
• Excellent understanding of wired and wireless communications systems and digital signal processing of analog and digital waveforms for transmit and receive functions
• Working knowledge of Matlab
• Some experience with graphics processor programming
• Understanding of wireless communication systems is a plus
