Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced cook to join our team. As the daycare and preschool cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for children in our care. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our young learners receive balanced and wholesome meals that contribute to their growth and development.

Duties

  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children according to the menu and dietary guidelines provided.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following all sanitation and safety standards.
  • Monitor food inventory and work with administration to place orders as needed to ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Accommodate special dietary needs and food allergies as required.
  • Collaborate with daycare staff to ensure meals are served in a timely manner and meet the nutritional needs of each child.
  • Follow all licensing regulations and health codes related to food preparation and serving.


Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cook in a childcare setting, school cafeteria, or similar environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Culinary training or ServSafe certification is a plus.
  • IdentoGo Fingerprinting, background check, TB test and Drug test required prior to employment.
