Our client is a $30M government contractor in rapid growth mode. They are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team, that will report into their Controller. The company works on highly classified contracts and this role would allow for the person to obtain a clearance.
This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity with above market benefits!
Responsibilities:
- Gather, review, analyze and record financial information to the general ledger. Complete monthly closings general ledger and account maintenance.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies to ensure general ledger account information is accurate, consistent, traceable, and auditable.
- Manage and record and review transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Assisting with external annual audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance
