Platform DevOPS Cloud Engineer III

We are actively seeking a Platform DevOPS Cloud Engineer.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in an infrastructure, DevOps development role
• 3+ years of experience with container tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher
• 3+ years of experience with deploying Kubernetes within a platform or cloud offerings, - AWS or Azure
• 3+ years of experience with automation tools like SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet - Must have Unit testing / automation testing experience
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Hands on experience with software development practices like DevOps , DevSecOPs and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions
• Must have hands on experience with Python scripting. Working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Node.js, JSON, PHP, Perl.
• Experience in cloud application development (e.g. PaaS, Serverless, API Management)
• Experience with using or migrating continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline solutions or tools, including Jenkins, Git, or TeamCit
• Hands on experience with ETL pipeline development
• Github actions experience or similar(bitbucket pipelines, gitlab ci/cd)
• Experience with design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS and/or Azure
• Knowledge of container security technologies like Twistlock, Falco, or Clair desired
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS, SAP, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers and Infra as a code technologies)
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning, encryption, cloud monitoring, firewalls, and Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) desirable

Desired Skills:

• Experience supporting DHS Agencies.
• Ability to demonstrate and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Able to clearly communicate with both customers and teammates and provide recommendations for improvements to existing software applications
• Experience working in an agile development environment

Years of Experience:

• 3+ years of experience with deploying Kubernetes within a platform or cloud offerings, including GCP, AWS, or Azure
• 2+ years of experience with automation tools like SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet
• 3+ years of hands on experience with Python scripting

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field is required.

Certifications :

One of these certifications is required:

· AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Developer

· Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Location: This position may be staffed at the Government’s facility in Williston, VT or in the Washington, DC area, or other locations in the United States with approval by the Government.

Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Government Agency clearance. DHS EOD is a major plus.
