Job Description
We are hiring a downstream process development scientist to work for a clinical-stage biotechnology company working on immunotherapies for patients with cancer and other diseases.
Responsibilities:
Perform purification of proteins using AKTA to support in vivo studies.
Process development for protein clinical candidates.
Support the development of AlphaLISA based potency assays.
Perform characterization of proteins using Biacore and ELISA based methods.
Independently analyze data, present results, and conclusions to the team.
Be innovative and implement novel methods for protein purification and characterization.
Skills and Experience:
BS with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 3+ years of experience, Ph.D. with a Postdoc or Industry experience.
Experience with the following: Protein purification using AKTA systems, Biacore, ELISAs, designing and executing experiments.
Understanding of downstream process development
Good understanding of protein structure and function
Willing to learn new skills and adapt to the changing needs of the organization.
Ability to work independently.
Effective collaboration and strong problem-solving skills.
